Joanna Emery has always had a deep curiosity, a passion for history and a love of writing. She’s enjoyed stories of the icky and fascinating things about the human body ever since her father, a forensic pathologist, used to tell her tales of body functions and dissected livers when she was a child. Joanna is the author of five children’s books, 2 YA nonfiction titles and numerous articles. She and her husband live with their three children, four cats, one guinea pig and five chickens, and they are currently building a small observatory in their backyard.
